Rabbi Adam Perlman
About me
I have a rather unique story, having grown up in a liberal, secular, highly-charged intellectual environment in Western Massachusetts. I moved to Israel when I was 22 where I returned to my Biblical roots and began studying Torah. I immediately fell in love with the Jewish Tradition, and I was particularly drawn to the Jewish Mystical Tradition, Kabbalah and Chassidut. I studied for many years in Irsrael and received Rabbinic Ordination from Rabbi Shlomo Riskin, Rabbi Brovender, and Rabbi Nechemia Golberg z'l.
I worked as a Rabbi while in the USA for two years and I have been teaching Torah classes for many years. I mostly teach Chassidut, from different sources, with a focus on the teachings of the Ramchal, Rabbi Moshe Chaim Luzatto, Rebbe Nachman of Breslov, the Baal Shem Tov, and Rav Kook. I am also very influenced by the teachings of Rabbi Aryeh Kaplan z’l. I believe in integrating & applying Torah Wisdom in modern life and this is reflected in the The Tree of Knowing Website
I have an undergraduate degree in Political Theory from Trinity College with a focus on 20th Century International Politics. After studying abroad in Rome and London, I studied Middle East History during the first intifada, with a Palestinian Professor during the final year of my undergraduate studies, and then made my way to Israel in 1990, just prior to the Gulf War.
I have an MBA in International Business from Bar Ilan University. I am currently the Director Business Development for Sonigo International I also run my own AI marketing agency called Kav Digital AI & and created an Israel Marketplace called Judeo Shop.
But my passion and the culmination of my life’s work is the The Tree of Knowing
